Our first entry into the Smokin Joe’s World Brisket Championship was a rough one. 53^rd out of 120 entries. But it was fun to try something different and have the judges come by and watch you slice the brisket.

In the main contest we placed 77^th out of 190 teams. Our brisket and pork pulled down nice finishes in chicken (32nd) and ribs (37th).

Had a nice group of friends stop by for a party Friday night. In which I was over served again. (Did I mention I was pouring my own drinks?)

Lessons learned this trip .. Rob can't play with sharp knives or eat chicken next contest.
