Hot, Hot, and more Hot ... again!
We moved to a larger spot down by the lake which worked well for the camper. And gave us a lot more room for Friday’s party. Lots of food and horduvors followed by the
Jell-O shots.
We continue to struggle with Butts and Briskets this year. A cook can live with low scores once in a while but every contest these two meats negate any good scores we get in ribs and chicken.
Highlights from the weekend ...
*Rick made/presented his first box with our sausage entry. Pulled a couple 9's from an otherwise ugly piece of meat.
*Frank did his impersonation of Ebenezer Scrooge as he had visits from past, present and future wives. :-)
*Check out the pic of Randy sleeping on the
cooler. Very innovative on his part until you realize there was an empty bed
in the trailer.
Off to Waterloo and La Porte City next weekend, two contests in one weekend.
